JAMMU: Domana Police on Monday booked Director Land Survey and Land Record in ‘cheating by personation’ case against a senior police officer.
“A case has been registered against Director Land Survey and Land Record Rajesh Kumar Shavan for allegedly lodging complaints against a senior police officer by anonymous complainants,” police officer said.
He said that the accused had lodged complaints against the then SSP Vigilance with the names of some of the officials in his department, who actually did not exist.
“Due to some personal rivalry with the police officer, the Director manipulated the complaint and the names of the complainants,” police added.
He said that after investigating the matter, it was found that he was involved into the unfactual act of lodging complaint following which a case under Section 419 of Ranbir Penal Code was registered against him.
