Jammu: The government on Thursday appointed Mohammad Shahid Saleem, Director, Forensic Science Laboratory as Inquiry Officer into the charges framed against Waseem Qureshi, Prosecuting Officer.
“In terms of Rule 33 of J&K Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1956, Mohammad Shahid Saleem, JKAS, Director, Forensic Science Laboratory, is appointed as Inquiry Officer to conduct an in-depth enquiry into the charges framed against Waseem Qureshi, Prosecuting Officer, (Under Suspension) presently attached in the office of Deputy Director Prosecution, Ramban,” reads an order issued by Raj Kumar Goyal, Financial Commissioner/ Additional Chief Secretary, Home Department J&K.
Further, it added, Bopinder Singh, Deputy Director, Prosecution, Jammu, shall be the Presenting Officer. “The Inquiry Officer shall complete the enquiry and submit his report/ recommendations to the Home Department within a period of thirty days from the date of issue of this order,” it stated.
