JAMMU:Director Command Area Development (CAD) Jammu, Manisha Sharma inspected the On Farm Development (OFD) works on various distributaries/ direct outlets executed during the year 2016-17 in Bhalwal Barth, Balwal Muthi and Bhalwal Lada villages of Pargwal Canal Command Project.
The Director while interacting with people appealed to the farmers to maintain the field channels to maintain the water supply for better production of the crops.
The beneficiaries expressed their satisfaction regarding the steps taken by CAD Jammu in executing OFD works.
“The farming is possible at the tail ends now due to the continuous flow of water”, they added.
Later Director CAD advised the technical staff to put their best efforts to complete all ongoing schemes in stipulated time frame without compromising with the quality.
The Director was accompanied by Project Officer, CAD, Jammu and a team of concerned officers.
