Dimple seeks dissolution of J&K Assembly

JAMMU: A large number of people under the leadership of Sunil Dimple President Jammu West Assembly Movement held a protest rally on Amphalla- Janipur Road today and demanded the Governor N.N Vohra to dissolve the present hung Assembly and hold fresh elections for a stable government in the State. The protesters were also demanding district status to the Jammu West Assembly Constituency.
Addressing the protestors, Sunil Dimple said that since the BJP- PDP coalition has failed to form government after the death of Chief Minister Mufti Mohd Sayeed and none of the political parties are in a position to form the government in the State, the Governor NN Vohra should dissolve the Assembly without any further wastage of time and avoid giving time for horse trading to parties to form unholy alliance. He said that the state has already suffered a lot due the unpopular alliance of the BJP with PDP.
Dimple further said that the MLAs and the former ministers are unnecessary burden on the public exchequer. He demanded from the Governor to stop salaries of all the MLAs and cancel all the benefits of the MLAs and ministers.
He also demanded that Governor should get the bungalows vacated from the ministers and MLA hostel from the MLAs.
He also demanded withdrawing the security jammers from the former ministers.
Sunil Dimple also demanded that Governor should initiate steps to grant district status to the West Assembly Constituency and bifurcation of it in to two Assembly segments as it is the largest constituency of the State.
The prominent leaders who joined the protest were Sham Saroop, Som Nath Sharma, Harbans Tondan, S Randhier Singh Bali, Vinod Suri, Dev Raj Padsgotra, Mukesh Kumar, Kulwant Sharma, Raman Gupta, Bansi Lal, Ram Kumar Dass, Vipan, Viky, Mukesh, Bhanu Singh and Dr Gurmet Singh.
