JAMMU: The Government on Saturday appointed DIG CID, Sujit Kumar as the Inquiry Officer to probe into charges framed against Nissar Ahmed Wani, then Labour Procurement Officer (LPO), Defence Labour Procurement Department, J&K.
“In terms of Rule 33 of J&K, Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1956, Sujit Kumar, DIG, CID, Kashmir, is appointed as Inquiry Officer to conduct an inquiry into the charges framed against Nissar Ahmad Wani, the then Labour Procurement Officer, Defence Labour Procurement Department, J&K. Further, Kamal Sharma, CPO, CID, J&K, shall be the Presenting Officer,” read an order issued by Chandraker Bharti, Principal Secretary, Home Department.
“The Inquiry Officer shall complete the enquiry and submit report to the Home Department within a period of thirty days from the date of issuance of this order,” it added.
