DIG Shakti Pathak honours Har Shikhar Tiranga Team head Col R S Jamwal

JAMMU: Shri Kailakh Jyotish Avim Vedic Sanathan (SKJAVS) Trust organised a programme here on Thursday wherein DIG Jammu, Samba & Kathua Range, Shakti Pathak was the Chief Guest.
On the occasion, Trust honoured Har Shikhar Tiranga Team head Colonel Ranveer Singh Jamwal.
Speaking on the occasion, Shakti Pathak said Har Shikhar Tiranga team climbing the highest peaks of all 28 states under the leadership of Colonel Ranveer Singh Jamwal, the Director of the National Institute of Mountaineering and Allied Sports (NIMAS).
This courageous endeavour received admiration and respect across India, with every state expressing love and honour for this campaign, he said.
Guest of Honour, former CEO and Managing Director of J&K Bank, R K Chhibber said that the team led by Col R S Jamwal comprised of Nb Sub T Chosgail, Hav Rakesh Yadav, Hav Kewal and Amit Chowdhury.
Trust President Mahant Rohit Shastri said Colonel Ranveer Singh Jamwal-an Indian Army officer from Jammu scaling Mount Everest three times and highest mountain of all seven continents. He is a veteran of more than 50 mountaineering expeditions and has two Asian records and four Indian records in his name.
Colonel Ranveer Singh also recently completed six countries cycling expeditions which started from Vietnam and completed at Singapore by passing through the four other countries including Laos, Cambodia, Thailand and Malaysia by covering the distance of around 5,374 kilometers.
“Before this expedition, he along with four cyclists, led by him had completed the 1100 kilometers cycling expedition of ‘Seven Sister States’ of North East and become the first team who paddled the Seven Sisters States for the first time in December last year,”
Col. Ranveer said that everyone can achieve the target but the only mantra is, he/she should be focused towards their goal and should stay away from the distraction and bad things.
