DIG Jammu flags off Bharat Darshan Tour for Doda students

JAMMU: In a significant initiative under the Civic Action Programme (CAP), Dr. Sunil Gupta, Deputy Inspector General of Police, JKS Range, flagged off the Bharat Darshan Tour for 63 students from various parts of District Doda this afternoon at Gulshan Ground, Jammu.
The tour, organized by the Zonal Police Headquarters, Jammu, aims to provide these students with an enriching and educational experience. The participants, accompanied by two caretakers from District Doda, will travel from Jammu to Delhi and then proceed to Kolkata by air. The Bharat Darshan Tour Programme is scheduled from July 25, to 29, 2024.
During the flag-off ceremony, Dr. Sunil Gupta highlighted the importance of the Civic Action Programme, stressing its role in fostering a positive relationship between the police and the community, particularly the youth.
He stated, “This initiative is a testament to our commitment towards the welfare and development of the younger generation. By engaging them in constructive activities, we aim to bridge the gap between the police and the public.”
The Bharat Darshan Tour promises to be an unforgettable journey for the students, offering them a unique opportunity to explore the diverse cultural heritage of the country.
The participants will visit various historical and cultural landmarks, gaining insights into the nation’s rich history and traditions.
Present at the ceremony were SSP Jammu Dr. Vindod Kumar, SP South Ajay Sharma, Accounts officer of ZPHQ Jammu Mukesh Sharma, DySP DAR Jammu Ravinder Singh, ADO ZPHQ Jammu Narinder Singh, and other esteemed officers.
This tour exemplifies the Jammu and Kashmir Police’s dedication to promoting educational and cultural exposure among the youth, reinforcing the values of unity and national pride.
