POONCH: A Webinar-cum-Training programme was organized by District Industries Centre Poonch in collaboration with GeM, Ministry of Commerce, Govt. of India for registration on GeM .
The event was held on the overall directions and supervision of Commissioner Secretary to Govt. for Industries and Commerce Deptt Manoj Kumar Divedi and Director, Industries and Commerce, Jammu, Anoo Malhotra.
On the outset, Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Rahul Yadav welcomed all the participants while, General Manager Poonch Manzoor Hussain gave a brief outline of the training process and threw light on the importance and implication of the GeM Portal vis a vis business community willing to buy & sell their commodities or products on a common & one stop shop platform.
More than 150 entrepreneurs participated in the live training imparted by the GeM in collaboration with the Finance Department wherein Kush Tyagi, a guest training faculty provided valuable inputs regarding the introduction, its inception & registration on GeM Portal.
At the end of the training, a question answer session was also held wherein different entrepreneurs raised various queries which were satisfactorily responded by the guest faculty. Besides this, the officers of the DIC Poonch gave a detailed description of Entrepreneurs Development Scheme with special thrust on PMEGP along with the procedure of different registrations e.g. Udyam, UAM & GeM.
The participants were also informed to register themselves with DIC Poonch to avail maximum benefits in the form of subsidies provided by the Govt. & thereby uplifting the living standards of the local entrepreneurs with special focus on traditional artisans. State Taxes Officer, Ashiq Rafiq also briefed the gathering regarding GST registration and timely submission of GST Returns. Functional Managers Tariq Aziz and Zamood Ahmed extended vote of thanks to the participants and assured all possible assistance for registration process on GeM Portal from DIC office Poonch.
Others who attended the online training session included Assistant Director Handloom and Handicraft, Distt. Informatics Officer, Poonch and the staff of DIC Poonch.
