JAMMU: Renowned writer Dhian Singh’s two books titled ‘Bicheren Da Behi Khata’ which is the collection of essays and ‘Sochen Diaan Korjaan’ a collection of poems were released at a function organised by Duggar Manch at KL Sehgal Hall, here on Wednesday.
Noted writer, Narsingh Dev Jamwal was the Chief Guest while Neeru Sharma was Guest of Honour on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Jamwal highlighted the contribution of Dhian Singh in Dogri literature and said he is endeavouring hard in enriching it despite age constraints.
“His books touch the strings of our richness of language and the vocabulary gives insight of different shades how the words portray the situation” he said adding that words used in the books are very original, rare and slowly and steadly are depleting from contemporary literature being written today.
Prakash Premi presided over the function and Mohan Singh delivered lecture on the contribution of Dhian Singh in literary field and assured that his organisation will continue conducting such programmes in future.
Dr. Rattan Basotra and Dr. Sunita Bhadwal presented papers on the books elaborating the various aspects touched by the authors of changing society and its comparative analysis.
The vote of thanks was presented Shiv Dev Sushil and the stage was conducted by Dr Sushma Rani.
