DGPC, NC condemn sacrilegious incident

JAMMU : The District Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (DGPC) members of District Jammu who visited the temple at Nanak Nagar Jammu where an antisocial element resorted to a sacrilegious act and condemned the incident. They said that the youth responsible for this act should be booked and made to face stern action. The members also met the police authorities including DIG Police and assured him of their full cooperation. Prominent among those present include Harjinder Singh Raina Secretary, Manjeet Singh ex-Secretary Nirman Singh, Surinder Singh Wazir and Manjit Singh Rocky.
Meanwhile Vice President National Sikh Front Gurdyal Singh Bali and other members also condemned the incident and appealed to the people to maintain peace and communal harmony. Jammu and Kashmir National Conference on Thursday strongly condemned the sacrilegious act done by some miscreants at Nanak Nagar and demanded stern action against the culprits responsible for such heinous act. In a statement issued by Surinder Singh Bunty, Additional Spokesperson of the Party said that such heinous actions have no place in a civilised society. Bunty demanded a high level enquiry to trace out the people behind the two incidents that were aimed at disturbing the communal harmony.
