DGP directs PCD, officers to accelerate work on ongoing projects

SRINAGAR: Director General of Police Jammu and Kashmir, Dilbag Singh who is currently on weeklong tour in Kashmir valley on Wednesday visited Police Complex PCR Kashmir and Zainakot in Srinagar. Accompanied by IGP Kashmir Shri Vijay Kumar and DIG Central Kashmir, Shri Amit Kumar, the DGP first visited PCR Complex Kashmir and later visited Zainakot Srinagar, which are proposed sites for an NGO/OR Mess and a police Housing Colony respectively for Jammu & Kashmir police personnel.
At PCR, the DGP inspected various units and enquired about the facilities available to the Jawans. The DGP was briefed by SSP PCR, Shahid Mehraj and other officers regarding functioning of these units and facilities being provided to Police personnel. The officers, during their briefing, highlighted some requirements, which were patiently heard by DGP J&K. The DGP also directed the officers to identify suitable land in PCR complex for construction of an NGO mess and also impressed upon improvements in the present facilities.
While interacting with the technical team of PCD and other officers, the DGP directed the officers to accelerate the work on pending projects in the Union Territory which was slowed down due to pandemic.
He reiterated for preparation of master plans of all approved projects keeping in view the future requirements. The DGP was briefed about the ongoing projects and projects completed in recent times.
SSP Srinagar, Mohd Haseeb Mughal, I/C CO 44th Bn CRPF Nand. K. Punia, SP West Shazad Salaria, technical team/engineers of PCD were present on the occasion.
