JAMMU: The workers of Dogra Front and Shiv Sena under the leadership of President Ashok Gupta took out protest rally along with Rehriwalas from Raj Tilak Road, Purani Mandi, Old Hospital Road, City Chowk, Raghunath Bazaar, Hari Market, Shalamar Raod, Indira Chowk, KC Theatre, Shakuntla Chowk and Parade Road. MLA Jammu East Rajesh Gupta joined Ashok Gupta in support of the Rehriwala agitation. While addressing the rally, MLA assured that the Rehriwalas would be settled in appropriate areas where they can earn their livelihoods and making sure that the controversial places would not be allotted. he MLA further stated that he would discuss the issue with the Deputy CM Nirmal Singh and get a concrete resolution of the situation.Ashok Gupta stated that the stone pelters and the surrendered militants are being rehabilitated in the Valley as they are being provided with land to start their work but on the contrary the people who are earning their livelihoods through Rehris are been made unemployed by making them move into places where there is no business at all. Ashok said that the Rehriwalas must be provided with the allotment order where so ever they are being shifted and there should be coordination among the government departments.
