DODA: Carrying forward its missing to ensure availability of good-quality and hygienic things for people, Food Safety DFCO Doda has taken action against a food vendor near GMC Doda. As per details, acting on a complaint against a vendor who used to prepare Biryani near GMC Doda, a team of Food Safety DFCO Doda led by Tariq Ahmad Butt Assistant Commissioner accompanied by Mohd Ameen Khan, Food Safety Officer visited the spot and inspected premises of establishment. The team also lifted sample of Biryani on the spot for analysis.
Speaking on the occasion, Tariq Ahmad Butt said that the Department is committed to discourage malpractices and adulteration under support of Commissioner FDA J&K and able guidance of District Administration Doda. He also emphasized on imparting general awareness among people for welfare of consumers. He further said, “Proper food preparation is important to prevent the invasion of infections which lead to bigger impact on people with fragile health conditions like infants and elders. FSSAI has approved food coloring agents, which should only be used in food articles.” On the occasion, the official imparted awareness on role of Food Safety and usage of permitted synthetic colors. It was apprised that food coloring is important issue and should be used under guidelines enumerated under FSSA inclusive regulations and malpractice should be avoided.
