INDERWAL: Ghulam Mohammad Saroori, MLA Inderwal in public meetings at Gorinal, Mahjar, Sheikh Pura, Ganie Mohallah, Raina Mohallah, Butt Pura, Wani Mohallah, Basha, Gwari, Kandwar, Wani Mohallah, Mir Mohallah, Kuchal and Simbole called upon the people to vote for Congress on development works done by the UPA I and UPA II.
Saroori said that country has witnessed tremendous development in all spheres of life under UPA regime in the past 10 years including Jammu and Kashmir especially pro-poor schemes which have benefitted all sections of the society. He said that UPA and UPA II have devised and implemented many schemes for rural areas poor by way of providing them shelter under IAY and health cover, checkup under NRHM other schemes including RGGVY, MGNREGA, BRGF, etc. Saroori added that taking governance to the doorsteps of the people remained the cornerstone of development in J and K in the last ten years. Liberal funding by UPA Government and focus on Bijli, Sadak and Paani was accorded highest priority.
He cautioned people to beware of the divisive people in the name of religion or region for their vested interest. He said that BJP has no stake in the Chenab Valley except giving hollow slogans and voting for such a party is wasting the vote. He asked the people to make best use of their vote and elect the Congress Party.
Ghulam Qadir Sheikh, Piyaray Lal Sharma, Ghulam Nabi Mir, Abdul Gani, Abdul Rehman, Ch Lal Din, Javed Ahmed, Ibrahim Sheikh, Abdul Rashid, Nazir Ahmed, Kalyan Singh, Prem Nath, Mohd Rafi Sheikh, Abdul Gani Raina, Mohd Sultan Wani, Mohd Sikander, Ghulam Mohd, Abdul Majeed Khan, Nazir Ahmed Sheikh, Mohd Iqbal, Raj Kumar, Abdul Razzak, Ghulam Qadir Wani, Ghulam Ali Butt, local Congress leaders, workers, Youth Congress members and people in large number from Kuchal and Gorinal were present in these public meetings.
