SAMBA: The 600 meter long Devak Bridge on Jammu-Pathankot National Highway has developed dangerous pot-holes where the vehicles, particularly the light vehicles tread in Zig Zag manner to avoid a mishap. The black topping carpet has been damaged and river bed is visible through these cracks and holes.
Several accidents have taken place over this bridge but neither the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) nor any other authority has taken cognizance of the requirement for its repair.
The commuters and other people of the area have appealed to the concerned authorities to carry out necessary repairs at the earliest to avoid any untoward happening.
