UDHAMPUR: To discuss the counting preparedness for General Assembly Election-2014 of three Assembly Constituencies of the District at Government Degree College, Udhampur(Boys), the District Election Officer, Yasha Mudgal convened a meeting of officers of various departments at Conference Hall DC Office, Udhampur.
Discussions were held on various issues like security at counting centre, appointment of counting Supervisor/ Assistants, Micro Observer, Employees Welfare at Counting Centre, communication facility, issue of I- Cards, Barricading of counting halls, creation of media cell and uploading of counting results on official web site etc.
The DEO apprised that counting should start from 8:00 AM onwards on 23rd December, 2014 at Government Degree College (Boys) Udhampur.
The DEO directed all ROs to prepare list for appointment of Class IV employees at each counting table for lifting the polled EVMs by tomorrow. She directed XEN PDD to arrange sufficient power back; if there will be any power failure during the counting time.
She stressed upon the officers concerned to work with dedication and zeal with proper coordination among each other to make hassle free counting.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Suleman Choudhary, IAS Probationer, Kritika Batra, Returning Officers 60-Udhampur, Pawan Parihar, RO Chenani, Vikas Sharma, RO 62- Ramnagar, Deep Raj, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Rajeev Magotra, District Informatics Officer NIC, Anil Sharma, XEns PWD, PDD, Irrigation and Flood Control and PHE, Tehsildar, and senior officer of various departments were also present in the meeting.
