Demonetisation: Shiv Sena seeks compensation for victims

JAMMU: Shiv Sena (Bala Sahib Thakeray) demanded compensation to the tune of Rs. 10 crore and Government service to the kin of the victimswho lost their life due to demonetization. Addressing the media person, State President of Shiv Sena Bala Sahib Thackeray Dimpy Kohli along with General Secretary Manish Sahni said over 50 people have lost their lives including senior citizens, women, kids and orphans while standing in queues besides bank employees due to stress and anxiety.
Dimpy while criticising the ban on the deposit and exchange of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes in co-operative banks said that most of the farmers have their accounts in these banks and now they are suffering a lot. He demanded immediate withdrawal of this order. Chairman Shiv Sena Rajesh Gupta said that the centre has recently announced that Rs. 2.5 lakh can be drawn to meet the expenses of marriage. He said it is so meager and it should be minimum Rs. 5 lakh. Vikas Singh, Rakesh Patel, Radhe Radhe, Manohar Lal, Raju Salaria and Naresh Bakshi were also present.
