Demonetisation increased sufferings of people manifold: Cong

JAMMU: Congress unit of Raipur Domana on Sunday alleged that demonetisation has increased the sufferings of people manifold.
In a meeting convened by Mula Ram Vice President JKPCC and Hari Singh Chib senior Congress leader, the negative impacts of the demonetisation were discussed threadbare.
Uday Chib National Secretary NSUI asked five questions from Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeking clarification on quantum of black money recovered post demonetization, data on fiscal loss and cut in employability, number of deaths occurred due to chaos, status of compensation, persons who advised Prime Minister on demonetization and details of people who have deposited more than Rs. 25 lakh in bank accounts six months prior to demonetization.

Muja Ram alleged that this step was taken by the Modi government for the sake of top 50 business families on the cost of lives of common people of India. “Demonetisation created unemployment, economic loss and several deaths of innocent Indians”, he added.
Hari Singh Chib said that people of the country are awaiting PM’s response on the issue of demonetisation as questioned by Vice President AICC Rahul Gandhi. He also highlighted the problems of locals including unprecedented hike in ration and petrol prices.
Rajni Bala, Tallenter Singh, Hoshiar Singh, Bhagat Ram, Fakir Chand, Dev Raj, Mulkaj, Ch. Shahbaj, Harbanslal, Bittu Chib, Ajay Sharma, Varinder Mehta, Karan Singh, Renu Manhas, Parvesh Kumari, Vinay Baru, Pintu, Mantu, Sunny Chib, Kalbushan Singh, Ajju Rakwal, Badrinath, Tarun Vaid and other active members were also present.
