JAMMU: Sangeet Bharti and Duggar Film Sansthan Trust Jammu, on Sunday held condolence meeting under the chairmanship of B.M Dubey to condole the demise of Onkar Nath Raina, sitar maestro of State who left for his heavenly abode a few days ago.
The executive members remembered the contributions of Raina in the field of Indian classical music in J and K State. Raina developed and trained many artists under his able tulip.
Dubey remembered the days, when he approached to Onkar Nath to learn sitar under his discipleship. He described him a great musician and great human being.
Pt. Onkar Nath started his career as a staff artist in Akashwani Jammu and then joined Institute of Music and Fine Arts, Jammu as a sitar instructor, where he produced many talented classical artists in sitar, Dubey said.
The members of Sangeet Bharti and Duggar Film Sansthan Trust, Jammu paid tributes to the departed soul and prayed to the Almighty for the peace of noble soul of Onkar Nath Raina and courage to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.
Others present were Jasmeet Kour, Vanshika Dubey, Sugandhi Lagotra, Amarjeet Singh, Natyapal Singh, Deepak Kumar, Sumit Singh, Deepak Khajuria, Chanakya Sharma and Sumeet Kapoor.
