BHADARWAH: Kishtwar Police booked a youth under IT Act for uploading photos of a girl on Internet.
According to sources, a Kishtwar resident girl complaint against the Dehli based Youth before CJM Kishtwar about uploading of her photos on social media by the accused to defame her family.
On the complaint, CJM Kishtwar directed Police Station Kishtwar to register a case under relevant sections against accused and investigate the matter.
On the direction of CJM Kishtwar Police registered a case FIR No 60/2016 under section 354-A, 468, 469,471,506,509 RPC and 67,67-A of IT Act at Police Station Kishtwar against Rashid Khan son of Mohd Yousuf resident of Jamia Nagar ,Ukhala, New Dehli for uploading photos of the girl on social media and started investigation.
“On the direction of Court , we have registered a case against the accused and investigation of the matter is going on”, said police official adding that we are collecting the evidences and soon will arrest the accused.
The accused claimed that he had married the complainant and her family had illegally forced her to break the marriage.
