JAMMU: Deewana Mandir Cricket Club lifted Friendship Cricket Cup Series-III, by defeating its rival Mubarak Mandi team in the final played at DBN Grounds in Mubarak Mandi, here on Sunday.
After winning the toss, the Deewana Mandir team choose to bat first and scored 76 runs in 12 overs. Sanjay scored 20 runs while Peter made 17. Arpit and Abhishek of Mubarak Mandi got three wickets each.
In reply, Mubarak Mandi team could score only 52 runs for the loss of six wickets and lost the match by 24 runs. Lakhan and Dekker scored 19 and 12 runs respectively. Vishal, Sheru and Nitin of Deewana Mandir team shared two wickets each.
The match was officiated by Cheenu, Rajat and Sachin.
Sanjay of Deewana Mandir was declared as Man of the Match while Dekker of Mubarak Mandi team was declared as Man of the Series.
The winners’ team of Deewana Mandir was presented the Championship Trophy and a cash prize of Rs. 5,000.
