DODA: Students of Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Halaran on Saturday held a protest at Halaran area of Gandoh Tehsil against the shortage of staff in the school and criticised the Higher Education Department for its alleged step motherly treatment to said institution. Students blocked Kahara-Jaie Road for several hours and also boycotted their classes to show their resentment over the rude and pathetic attitude of concerned authorities. “There is shortage of teaching staff , masters , teachers and even few days back principal, two masters and a lecturer were also transferred but they aren’t being replaced by anyone ,” said a student Kavita Devi adding that the future of students of this institution is at stake due to non availability of staff. They were also demanding construction of school building as present infrastructure is not enough for the students.
They appealed to CM Mehbooba Mufti to personally intervene into the matter so that students may get signs of relief. Divya, Sajid,Mohd Saleem, Arvish, Akshay and others also spoke on the occasion and demanded full staff and infrastructure at the earliest.
