JAMMU: Deputy Commissioner, Jammu, Simrandeep Singh on Tuesday convened a meeting to discuss arrangements for Holy month of Ramzan and Eid-ul-Fitr.
ADC Jammu Kapil Sharma and other senior officers of Police and civil administration besides representatives of various religious organizations attended the meeting.
The DDC held threadbare discussion with the representatives who apprised him of their demands related to uninterrupted water and power supply besides poor sanitation.
Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned departments to take adequate measures to provide better amenities to devotees during the month of Ramzan.
He asked Jammu Municipal Corporation to intensify sanitation works and ensure cleanliness around Mosques. He directed JMC and CAPD to strengthen enforcement drives to maintain proper check on quality of edibles and rates of commodities besides ensuring adequate supply of ration during Ramzan.
Simranjeet Singh asked PDD to ensure uninterrupted power supply especially during Sehri and Iftar.
