DDC reviews CM’s directions for Anantnag

ANANTNAG: District Development Commissioner Anantnag on Monday convened a meeting to review the progress in the implementation of Chief Minister’s directions for Anantnag District made for current fiscal.
The District Development Commissioner emphasised upon the officers to work diligently for the early completion of all the commitments and directions of the Chief Minister.
He was informed that the work on Devri Paths/PC blocks in Sherbagh Park is in progress and 85 percent of work has been completed by Floriculture Department. The meeting was briefed that work on Andernag Temple is in progress and the beautification of Ziyarat Sharief Hazrat Baba Hard-e-Reshi (Reshmoul) will be completed by September 2017.
It was given out that for the construction of Solid Waste Management Plant, a DPR has been prepared and 40 kanals of land have been identified and notification to this effect has been issued by Pahalgam Development Authority. Also, the scientific treatment of accumulated solid waste dumped at a temporary site at Sarbal Pahalgam is in progress. While as a permanent site has been identified at Yanner-Sallar for which land acquisition is in progress. Also, three machines are being procured for scientific disposal of the waste, the meeting was told.
The Principal Polytechnic College Larkipora informed the meeting that the construction of the main building of the College has been completed while as internal finishing work is in progress while as class work has started at the College building’s ground floor. SE R&B informed the meeting that the work on said College shall be completed by September 15, 2017.
The DDC impressed upon all the officers to make the best use of the development season and ensure quality asset creation in the district.
