DDC Jammu visits C-DYTE at Khelgaon Nagrota

JAMMU: Deputy Commissioner Jammu Avny Lavasa on Wednesday visited Centre for District Youth Training and Empowerment (C-DYTE) at Khelgaon Nagrota to congratulate the trainees who recently qualified the physical tests for the post of Constable in JKP Border Battalion. Pertinent to mention that C-DYTE is a unique initiative of District Administration Jammu in collaboration with Mission youth, J&K for equipping the youth with necessary physical and academic skills and facilitating their recruitment in various exams. currently C-DYTE centres are running at 13 locations (all border & few non-border areas) across Jammu district. During her visit, the DC inspected the ongoing works at the Khelgaon and participated in the live interaction with trainees (Boys and girls), almost for half an hour. Deputy Commissioner also listened to the issues raised by trainees like obstacles for practice, lack of provision of a washroom for girls, drinking water facility etc. She assured of early redressal while expressing satisfaction over the daily training sessions. She extended best wishes to 379 trainees including 269 boys and 114 girls who cleared the first hurdle and also 66 trainees who have already cleared written test and were appearing in PET of SSC GD Exam. 379 out of 512 C-DYTE trainees qualified for physical tests for constable in JKP Border Battalion. The event was attended by Nodal officer C-DYTE Nagrota Viajy Kumar Sharma, ACR Jammu Vijay Kumar, and SHO Nagrota, Dr. Surinder Kumar.
