BARAMULLA: The preparations regarding the upcoming snowfall and the action plan thereof were thoroughly revised today in a meeting at Baramulla. DDC Baramulla, Dr. Farooq Ahmad Lone chaired the meeting of the concerned Superintending Engineers and Executive Engineers.
It was given out in the meeting that a main Control Room has been set up at Divisional HQ Workshop Baramulla, which will be responsible for the mechanised snow clearance of roads in Baramulla district for which the earmarked road length is 1014.91 Kilometres.
The concerned officers informed DDC that there are 23 snow clearance machines already available in the district one more with the Gulmarg Development Authority.
Moreover, it was also given out that tendering process has already been completed by the Department before the Code of Conduct.
