JAMMU: District Congress Committee (DCC) Jammu Urban condoled sudden death of Rajinder Kumar Mehra, former President Block Congress Committee Jammu East (Lower).
While paying tributes, the members described him a young and staunch party worker who served the party as Block President and Secretary District Congress Committee. A two-minute silence was observed in the meeting and it was prayed to Almighty to grant eternal peace to the departed soul in heaven and courage to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss. The meeting was presided over by Anil Chopra President DCC Jammu. Yogesh Sawhney, former Minister General Secretary PCC also paid rich tributes to the departed leader.Among others who condoled the death included Ravi Angral, Mian Nazir Ahmed, Dr. Ramakant Khajuria, J.L Koul, Dewan Chand, Ch. Makbool, Ch. Shoukat Ali, Sat Pal Spolia, Anand Gandotra, Manmohan Sharma, Michal Masih, Tariq Ahmed, Darshana Devi Charanjit Singh Chib, Nasur Masih, Samuel Bhatti, Showkat Khokher, Jugal Kishore, Sanjay Gupta, Arshad, Jodh Singh Soni, Jamshed Akhtar, Bent Singh, Raman Sharma, Tarsem Khajuria, Sardari Lal, Babu Ram Sharma, Ankush Kumar, Sunny Mehra, Rajesh, Sudesh Kumar, Pushkar Nath, Gourav Mehra and Mohinder Singh.
Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee has also condoled the demise of renowned refugee leader Jamedar (Naib Subedar) Hem Raj who passed away last evening at his residence Village Chhan Borian (Hiranagar). He was 100 years old. He had close association with veteran Congress leaders Late Girdhari Lal Dogra and Pt. Mangat Ram Sharma.
Mir conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul.

PCC Chief Spokesperson Ravinder Sharma and President District Congress Committee, Kathua, Subash Gupta on behalf of Congress Party offered Party’s flag and attended the funeral at his native village Chhan Borian (Hiranagar).
