KATHUA: District Development Commissioner Kathua Ramesh Kumar held a review meeting of concerned district and sectoral officers to discuss plan for taking up development works for Sheetal Nagar (Bhoond) in Kathua district, the village adopted by MP Udhampur-Doda constituency (Minister of State (Independent Charge) for the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region, Prime Minister Office, Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Department of Atomic Energy and Department of Space Dr Jitendra Singh under centrally sponsored Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojna (SAGY).
At the outset DDC called for ensuring collection of error free baseline survey data, the DDC constituted a team comprising of BLO, Anganwadi worker and GRS of concerned area for door to door survey.
He exhorted upon the officers to conduct extensive tour of the village before formulating the Village Development Plan.
The endeavour to provide basic amenities by significantly upgrading the standard and quality of life of all residing in the village by initiating steps to enhance human development, create livelihood opportunities while boosting productivity under the scheme of Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojna (SAGY), DDC added.
The DDC impressed upon ACD Kathua Dr Sunil Sharma (Nodal Officer) to monitor the development of the village and to act as a coordinator among various departments. To ensure collection of error free baseline survey data, the DDC called mobilizing teams in concerned area for door to door survey. He exhorted upon the officers to conduct extensive tour of the village before formulating the Village Development Plan (VDP).
The DDC directed all district officers of Agriculture, Horticulture, Social Welfare, Banks, panchayats, youth Sports, Post office, Education, Rural Development, Forest, Social forestry, BSNL to activate their men and machinery for effective and timely implementation of development schemes and programmes.
The meeting was attended by the PO ICDS, Dy. Dir. Employment & Counseling, DPO, XEN PHE, XEn PDD, CAO, ADMO Kathua, BMO and heads of various departments.
