JAMMU: Mainstream political parties in Jammu and Kashmir condemned the suspected terror attack on some people from the minority community at a village in Rajouri on Sunday evening in which four civilians were killed and many injured.
In Jammu, protests against Pakistan were held by VHP, Bajrang Dal, Mission Statehood, Shiv Sena and Dogra Front.

Arun Chowdhary Convenor PoJK Visthapit Sewa Samiti along with his team of PoJK refugees carried out candle march in Rehari Colony to condemn the targeted killings in village Dangri and paid tributes to all the victims at Devi Chand Municipal Park Rehari Colony, Jammu.
Chowdhary asked the Govt to make security arrangements for minorities in Jammu and Kashmir immediately and provide weapons to the VDC members. “We stand with our brothers and sisters who are staying at Dangri village braving terror threats,” he asserted.
“Terror attack targetting minority Hindus at Rajouri by Pak supported Islamic terrorists yesterday and IED blast today at the same place has once again exposed nefarious designs of Muslim fundamentalists. We are to fight it out and strengthen ourselves,” said Rajesh Gupta, Karyadhyaksh, VHP J&K Ladakh.

condemned the gruesome terrorist attack in Dangri and said such attacks were aimed at disturbing the peace prevailing in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Khatana said that Govt of India is committed to restore peace and tranquility in J&K and such cowardly attempts by the enemies of peace won’t derail the govt’s resolve to defeat the enemies of peace. Condoling the martyrdom of civilians, he extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and urged the UT administration to extend best possible medicare to the injured. Khatana further urged the LG Manoj Sinha to beef up security measures in Jammu region which has been becoming target of repeated terrorist attacks.
Senior BJP leader Devender Singh Rana condemned the inhuman and barbaric acts of terrorism , perpetrated by Pakistan and its lackeys, in Dangri area of the border Rajouri district, taking six precious human lives including two minor children.
In a statement, Devender Rana described the terror mayhem as an attack on the civilized way of life, unleashed by the neighbouring country, which has no regard for human values and lives, saying the barbarism left a heart wrenching trail of blood. These dastardly acts won’t deter the resolve of the people and determination of the nation in fighting terrorism to its end, he said, adding that the monster of terror is taking its last breath.
He said the executors of Pakistan’s sinister plan will not go unpunished, as they have committed a heinous crime against humanity. Rana conveyed condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for peace to their souls. At this hour of grief, the entire nation is in solidarity with those having lost their kin in the terror violence. He prayed for speedy recovery to those injured in the firing and in the blast.
‘While we mourn for all the six who have got their lives sacrificed, we are committed that we have to crush terrorism from J&K’s soil,” he added.
Executive of the KP Sabha Ambphalla held meeting under the Chairmanship of K.K Khosa President to condemn the dastardly killing of civilians belonging to the minority community by gun totting terrorists in Dangri Rajouri, yesterday. The members expressed their disappointment that inspite of tall claims of the UT Govt. targeted killings continue to take place and the area of operation has spilled over to Jammu province as well. The members appealed to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amit Shah to intervene to save the lives of minorities and other nationalists and prevent further loss of lives of the hapless innocents. It was impressed upon the UT Govt. to take adequate measures for security of the vulnerable people at the isolated pockets in entire Union Territory.

On the call of the J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu the Lawyers in large number took out procession in the court premises raising slogans against Pakistan and the anti-national forces who opened fire on three houses of Pakistan occupied Jammu & Kashmir (PoJK) refugees in Dangri village in Rajouri district on Sunday evening. Jammu Bar President M.K Bhardwaj strongly condemned Pakistan for carrying on the policy of enmity against India and harboring terrorists on its soil and using them to threaten life of the people & security forces in UT Government of J&K. Members of the J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu has taken a very serious view of the failure of the present UT Government of J&K in saving the innocent lives and liberty of the people. The Association has called upon the U.T. Government to take stern action against the anti-national forces as well as against the neighboring country Pakistan to prevent them from repeating similar acts in future also. Vishva Hindu Parishad and Bajrangdal held a protest against the target killing of Hindus at Village Dangari under the leadership of Leela Karan Sharma President Vishva Hindu Parishad Jammu Kashmir, Ladakh. Sharma condemned the target killing of innocent Hindus and asked government that some stern action should be taken to catch hold the terrorist who have done this act. VHP Vice President Shakti Dutt Sharma said that it’s a very shameful act of the beheading gang which is not tolerated by VHP and Bajrangdal. Bajrang dal state convener Kartik Sudan said that VHP/Bajrangdal took it seriously and demanded that Lieutenant Governor government should immediately constitute a STF ( Special Task Force) as well as ATS ( Anti Terror Squad) to captured the terrorists who has done this shameful act. Movement for Justice for Refugees of 1947 from POJK highly condemn the targeted killings in village Upper Dhangri.
The terrorists should understand that the POJK DPs had shown high resistance to their attack even in 1947 and saved the state and shall continue to do so if need be even today as true patriots, Suchwant Singh, Chief Spokesman MJR47 Jammu said. Thousands of DPs families of 1947 living in these more than 100 bastis/camps all along IB/LOC from Poonch to Kathua have suffered cross border firing and terrorists attacks since. All these habitations are all so vulnerable to cross border firing and are easy targets by militants unless provided proper security for which all DP’s organizations have been constantly making demand . This is the reason that DPs have always been requesting for proper rehabilitation and settlement. But with no results.
Rattan Lal Gupta Provincial President National Conference strongly condemned the terrorists attack in in Dhangri village.
In a statement issued here today, the Provincial President said that the security situation is worsening in the Jammu and Kashmir and the government is busy presenting a fake rosy picture of Kashmir. Gupta expressed his condolences to the bereaved families and asked the L.G administration provide adequate compensation as per demanded to the families of the deceased, injured and govt jobs to the kins.
All J&K POJK1947 Sharnarthi Intellectual Forum core committee members under the presidentship of Advocate Amrik Singh and Surjt Singh Secretary strongly condemned the gruesome and barbaric act of terrorist at Dangri village of Rajouri.
The Forum declared it a cowardness attempt made by terrorists on behest of Pakistani terror agencies.
The Forum urged the Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha to send the strong message to Pakistan Govt and warn them to face the dire consequences in near future.
Forum reiterated that the villagers of minorities living in the Border areas be provided security otherwise their lives are always under threat. The forum observed two minutes silence in the memory of martyred civilian. Rashtriya Hindu Vahini J&K President Rajinder Hindu condemned the Rajouri terrorist attack and expressed condolences to the families of those killed in the heinous attack. Rajinder Hindu said that J&K, being a Union territory, is controlled by the centre and the centre has to ensure safety of the residents of J&K. He said that the government should wake up from deep slumber and should put an end to the targeted killing of members of minority community in J&K.
Jammu Kashmir Sharnathi Action Committee (JKSAC) in a meeting held today in Jammu strongly condemned in one voice the cowardly attack made by terrorists at upper Dangri. The participants demanded a high level probe to unearth the security lapses responsible for this unfortunate tragic incident. The participants further demanded Rs 50 lakh compensation for each grief stricken family and a govt. job to the next kin of the deceased and further added that till than Rs 5 lakh ex-gratia relief be given immediately to each aggrieved family. While addressing the meeting Gurdev Singh President termed these incidents as most unfortunate and cowardly, anti-humanity act committed by terrorists for selectively killing.
The members present in the meeting appealed to Lt. Governor to deal ironically with the terrorist to save the lives of innocent people and also to revive the Village Defense Committees for self protection and immediate compensation and relief be paid to the victims.

Rashtriya Bajrang Dal staged a strong protest against the target killing and burnt the effigy of Pakistan. Rakesh Bajrangi, the President of Rashtriya Bajrang Dal, who is leading this demonstration, said that within three day of Sidhra encounter again brutal killing of innocent civilians by terrorists attack which is not tolerable the Indian.
J&K Shiv Sena Dogra Front led by President Ashok Gupta protested against Pakistan over civilian killing in Rajouri.
Pakistan is a terror state that has made business out of terror and has become a threat to world peace, Gupta said.
Stating that Rajouri militant attack reflects utter failure of Central Govt on the Security front, Senior Congress Leader Pranav Shagotra termed the innocent killings shameful and unacceptable. Shagotra also expressed shock over the killing of child in a blast near yesterday’s attack site while condemning the innocent killings in strongest words.
Shagotra emphasized the Govt to take effective measures to put an end to bloodshed and ensure safety of common people. He also demanded adequate compensation to the next of kin of slain persons.
