Daily wagers protest, seek regularisation

JAMMU: Casual labourers, need based, ITI trained and CP workers of all government departments today held a protest in front of the Office of Divisional Commissioner Jammu demanding from government to frame regularisation policy for them.
All the daily wagers under the banner of Jammu and Kashmir Workers Co-ordnation Committee led by Satish Sharma assembled and raised the slogans in favour of their demands.
Speaking on the occasion, Satish focused the attention of Governor on the demands of daily wagers who have been suffering badly for regularisation of their services.
He expressed anguish over the previous State Governments by making false promises of regularisation of around 62,000 casual/need based workers working in different departments of the State.
Rakesh Kumar, Rajan Sharma, Akhil Sharma, Bhanu Partap Singh, Puneet Gandotra, Yash Pal and Sanju Kumar were also present.
