Dadkai Club to face Young Star Bhatyas in final today

DODA: Dadkai Volleyball Club shall meet Young Star Bhatyas in the final of the two-day Doda Distt Volleyball Championship, organized by Volleyball Association of J&K under the aegis of J&K Sports Council at Government Degree College Bhaderwah, here tomorrow.
In the semifinal matches played on Friday, Dadkai Volleyball Club beat Degree College Bhaderwah (Green) while Young Star Bhatyas outplayed Rewara Club.
Earlier, the Championship in which nine teams from all across the Doda District are participating, was declared open by the chief guest, Kuldeep Sharma, Principal of the host college.
All the volleyball clubs of the district participated in true sportsman spirits inculcating the sports culture and to shun the menace of various social evils with special reference to drug addiction.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Guest underlined the importance of sports among youth improving all round development of the JKUT.
He also called upon the youth to make the nation strong by eradicating all social evils with special emphasis on drug trafficking.
Kuldip Magotra, CEO and Mohd Tariq, Joint secretary of Volleyball Association of J&K reiterated the resolve of Volleyball Association of J&K.
CEO disclosed that all out efforts are being made to reach far-flung areas of JK UT for promotion of volleyball and to engage youth for national building measures through such events.
Today results: Higher Secondary School Boys Bhadarwah beat Higher Secondary School Sarthangal by 2-0 (25-18, 25-21); Dalai Volleyball Club beat Degree College Bhadarwah (Red) by sets 2-0 (25-14, 25-15); Rewara Volleyball Club beat Islamia High School Bhadarwah by 2-0 (25-15, 25-21); Young Star Bhatyas beat Degree College Bhadarwah (Green) by 2-0 (25-18, 25-13); Dadkai Volleyball Club beat HSS Boys Bhadarwah by 2-0 (25-17, 25-19); Young Star Bhatyas beat Tiger Sinoo Volleyball Club by 2-1 (16-25, 25-19, 15-11); Young Star Bhatyas Volleyball Club beat Rewara Volleyball Club by 2-0 (25-20, 25-21).
All matches were officiated by Aftab Alam, Rajani Kotwal, Salama Rubby, Murtaza Qadir, Muddasar Maqbool Butt, Sanjay Kumar and Ab Haq.
