KATHUA : Four more trucks carrying flood relief material have been sent by Chenab Textile Mills (CTM) on Tuesday. The trucks were flagged off by Prasanna Ramaswamy Additional DC, Kathua and Suraj Rukwal, ACR Kathua. Two trucks carrying 5,000 blankets each, i.e. 10,000 blankets dispatched to Divisional Commissioner, Srinagar and one truck carrying medicines worth Rs.5.14 lakh were dispatched to Registrar, Deptt of Medicines, SMHS Hospital, Srinagar. One truck carrying 1,000 blankets and 1,000 GI roofing sheets for reconstruction of houses have been sent to Deputy Commissioner, Reasi.
So far items worth more than Rs.50 lakh have been dispatched to areas where floods have caused extensive damages, which include two trucks having 2,000 blankets each sent to Poonch and Rajouri Districts and medicines worth Rs.5.06 lakh sent to Srinagar last month for distribution in free medical camps organised by various NGOs. These details were disclosed by Executive President of the company, K.C Sharma.
