UDHAMPUR: Critically injured youth who was attacked with an iron rod by a local person succumbed to his injuries at Chandigarh last night. Body of the victim was brought to District Hospital Udhampur and handed over the body to his family members after autopsy.
The victim Vijay Kumar son of Chuni Lal was attacked with an iron road on 9th December, 2014 by a local person identified as Mohan Lal son of Subash Chand resident of village Mageni, Udhampur and was critically injured with an iron rod. He was shifted to District Hospital Udhampur, then to Government Medical College Hospital Jammu and finally to PGI Chandigarh where he expired. His body was brought back and handed over to his family members on Saturday after autopsy at DH Udhampur.
The Udhampur Police had earlier registered a case under section 174 RPC which has now been converted into section 302 RPC, for investigation.
