Cricket tourney of CGEWCC Sham’s efforts go waste as SoI wins by 2 wkts

JAMMU: The all round performance from veteran cricketer, Sham Lal Targotra of Central Water Commission (CWC) gone waste after Survey of India (SoI) made it a two wickets win in the ongoing cricket tournament of organised by Central Government Employees Welfare Coordination Committee (CGEWCC) at GGM Science College Hostel Ground, here on Tuesday.
Sham Singh, who made 19 runs for his team and later clinched four wickets, could not save his side from defeat.
Earlier, batting first, after winning the toss, CWC made 86 losing all their wickets in 17.3 overs. Sham Lal Targotra and Vinod Pandita were top scorers with 19 and 13 runs in their respective accounts.
For SoI, Shashi Jamwal took three wickets, followed by Maheshwar Singh and Sanjeev Sharma, who shared two each.
In reply, SoI attained the goal for the loss of eight wickets. For his all round performance, Sham Lal was declared Man of the Match.
