Court awards two-year RI in assault case

JAMMU: Principal Sessions Judge Udhampur R.S Jain awarded two years rigorous imprisonment to Jeet Singh who was facing trail for attack on his brother.
According to the police case complainant was filed in police station Ramnagar by Romesh Kumar that today at about 9 A.M at Morha Ramund, Ward No.4, when his real brothers Gian Chand and Makhan Lal were constructing their house and that complainant after calling the neighbourers for help were coming back when accused Jeet Singh having a criminal intention to murder his brothers and armed with the Drat wrongly restrained them in the public lane and attacked them with the drat and inflicted grievious injuries on both the brothers who were picked up by the public and taken to the hospital. On this police registered a case and after completion of investigation presented challan.
Principal Sessions Judge Udhampur RS Jain after hearing both the sides awarded rigorous imprisonment for a period of two years and to pay a fine of Rs.2000/- under Section 326 RPC.
