JAMMU: Second Additional Sessions Judge Jammu M.K Sharma on Friday awarded rigorous life-imprisonment and fine of Rs. 5000 to Bhuvnesh Singh who committed the murder of one Anil Singh due to old rivalry.
While awarding life-sentence to Bhuvnesh Singh, Justice Sharma observed that Pardeep Singh another accused in this case was juvenile in conflict with law as defined in the J and K Juvenile Justice (Care & Protection of Children) Act 2013 and this act came into force on April 24, 2014 when the case was at the stage of defence evidence and further observed that this court has now come to the conclusion that the juvenile Pardeep Singh has committed the offences of which he has been charged and therefore, the juvenile is forwarded to the Juvenile Board through Additional Public Prosecutor K.A Qazi to pass order in accordance with provisions.
Court further observed that in case, the Juvenile Board has not been constituted then to forward the juvenile to CJM Jammu. Senior Advocate Sunil Sethi appeared for the accused persons while Special Public Prosecutor B.R Gupta appeared for the State. JNF
