JAMMU: Principal of Civil Hospital and Medical College, Hoshiarpur among three have been detained at Gangyal on Sunday evening when police recovered Rs 2.83 lakh (Rs 500 denominations) from her possession during routine checking.
Police said, Saroj Bala, her husband Gurdeep Singh, and Jaswinder Kour wife of Jagjeet Singh, all residents of 904/3, Adampur, Jalandhar were traveling in swift car (PB36F/5895). Their car has been seized while the trio has been detained. Police has reported the matter to Income Tax department.
Police said Saroj Bala, Principal of Civil Hospital & Medical College, Hoshiarpur had come at B.R. Nursing College near Rajeev Gandhi Leprosy Hospital, Babliana Road for taking practical paper of B.Sc. Nursing. The case is being investigated to ascertain more facts.
