Copper and brass drops on reduced demand

Mumbai,”= Copper, brass and tin prices dropped further at the non-ferrous metal market here today due to stockists selling amid reduced demand from industrial users.

While, lead edged up owing to mild demand from alloy industries.

Copper cable scrap, copper scrap heavy and copper wire bar eased by Rs 4 per kg each to Rs 358, Rs 353 and Rs 386 from Thursday’s close Rs 362, Rs 357 and Rs 390.

Copper armature, copper utensils and brass utensils scrap moved down by Rs 3 per kg each to Rs 344, Rs 323 and Rs 272 as against Rs 347, Rs 326 and Rs 275 yesterday.

Tin prices edged down by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 1,438 as compared Rs 1,440 yesterday.

Copper sheet cuttings and brass sheet cuttings softened by a Re per kg each to Rs 342 and Rs 280 respectively.

However, lead prices inched up by a Re per kg to Rs 138.
