SRINAGAR: A constable of Special Operation Group was killed in a fierce encounter which broke out between the security forces and the terrorists at Marwal forest area of Zaloora Sopore while another encounter started in Bandipora late evening.
The gunfight at both the places is underway.
Reports said that gunfight erupted at Yemberzal Wadi of Zaloora area of Sopore in wee hours on Tuesday.
The deceased STF policeman has been identified as Mohammad Shafi.
Late in the evening, an encounter broke out in Bandipora district. As per the reports, at least two to three terrorists are believed to be hiding.
