Contractual lecturers hold protest, seek regularisation

JAMMU: Scores of 10+2 contractual lecturers on Friday staged protest against the government for failing to regularise them from past four years.
The protesters under the presidentship of All 10+2 Jammu and Kashmir Contractual Lecturers Association, Arun Bakshi assembled near Press Club and raised anti-government slogans.
The protesting lectures, who are on chain hunger strike for the last 116 days, were demanding regularisation of their duties.
Arun Bakshi said, “The lecturers from all the districts of Jammu and Kashmir are on hunger strike but the authorities are paying no heed over their demands.”
Singh urged Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti to look into the matter and fulfill their demands at the earliest.
Seema Rajput, Anjana Bajaj, Arun Bakhshi and Pankaj Sharma sat on chain hunger strike today.
