While addressing the protest demonstration, Arun Bakshi, President of the Contractual Lecturers (10+2) Association, said that despite all the clarifications made by the Divisional Commissioner by communicating to the Administrative Department that the demand of 10+2 Contractual Lecturers was genuine, the State Government did not pay heed to the issue of contractual lecturers who were protesting to get their legitimate demands of regularisation resolved. He said that the hunger strike will continue till their demands are met.
Those who sat on chain hunger strike were Anil Kumar, Zabir Hussain Shah, Reva, Rajni and Shilpa Raina.
