Constitution of India launched in Kashmiri, Bodo languages

STATE TIMES NEWS

JAMMU: Union Home Minister Amit Shah lauded the launch of the Constitution of India in the Kashmiri and Bodo languages, calling it a historic step that strengthens the nation’s democratic fabric “from Kashmir to Bodoland.”

In a post on X, Shah congratulated the people of Jammu & Kashmir and the Bodoland Territorial Region, noting that the initiative—formally unveiled by the President of India on Constitution Day—will help citizens from these regions “imbibe the values of the Constitution and make them the soul of our national life.”

He added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has “ushered in an era of peace and progress” in these areas by ensuring fuller implementation of constitutional provisions on the ground. The new translations, Shah said, will further accelerate these efforts.
