JAMMU: Akhil Bhartiya Kashyap Mahasangh (ABKM), J and K, urged Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to constitute the Advisory Board of OBC in the State.
Talking to reporters here on Friday, Brij Mehra, State President ABKM, appealed to State Government to constitute the Advisory Board of OBC at the earliest with nomination of Vice Chairman from Kashyap (Jheewar) community.
He also demanded for nomination of Chairman Backward Classes Commission from OBC community, reservation of OBC community on the basis of Mandal Commission Report.
“Previous governments have not provided any facility in this regard and we hope that present State Government led by Mehbooba Mufti will take some measures for the welfare of OBC community,” he said. He also informed that one day convention of Kashyap (Jheewar) community is being organised on 18th September, 2016 and appealed to all the Biradari members to participate in the convention.
Sunil Dogra, Som Nath, Ramesh Taak, Paali Kumar, Rajinder Kumar, Pawan Dogra and Shamsher Sodhi were also present in the press conference.
