JALANDHAR: Campaigning aggressively in various wards of Jalandhar west in favour of Congress candidate, former Dy Chief Minister of J&K and AICC observer Tara Chand said that party will win Jalandhar Lok Sabha bye-election with heavy margin of votes.
Tara Chand along with other senior leaders was camping in Jalandhar to ensure Congres victory. Addressing series of meetings in Lok Sabha Constituency, Tara Chand was accompanied by MP from Ludhiana Ravneet Bittu, MP (Amritsar) Gurjeet Singh Aujala, former PCC President Mohinder Singh KP, Former VC SC Board Bushan Dogra, Naresh Sharma, BDC Chairman Vijay Tagotra, kulbir Pathania and others who addressed the gatherings.
Canvassing for Congress candidate Karanjeet Kour, Tara Chand recalled the days of Congress led UPA government, when the Common man was tension free and had sound sleep. Prices of essential commodities were low and within reach, he said adding that Almost every family was earning it’s livelihood. He said after 2014 every one is on toes and in cues.
Unemployment now a days is a main burning issue, educated and technically skilled unemployed youth are wandering from place to place for want of job even in private sector, he said adding that farmers of the country were on roads for months together and long agitation was held.
Government made various Commitments with the agitating farmers but all is in vain and farmers are feeling themselves cheated badly by the government. Former Deputy CM said that law and order situation in Punjab became matter of concern.
He said Congress sacrificed it’s top leadership for the restoration of peace in Punjab and never compromised. Tara Chand appealed voters of the Jalandhar Lok Sabha seat to cast their precious vote in favour of Congress candidate.
