Congress pays tributes to Sadiq, Qasim

JAMMU: Congress on Monday paid tributes to former Chief Minister, G.M Sadiq, Syed Mir Qasim and G.N Mir Lasjan at a function organised here on Monday.
The meeting was presided over by Anil Chopra President DCC Jammu and attended by functionaries of PCC, District and Block Presidents.
While paying tributes, the Congress leaders described G.M Sadiq as most competent and able administrator who gave corruption free and efficient administration to the people of the State.
The leaders also remembered the services of Syed Mir Qasim and G.N Mir Lasjan and described them best administrators who always cared for people and kept their interests above all.
Among those who paid tributes include Gulam Nabi Lasjan, Madan Lal Malagar, P.S Chouhan, Dr. R.K Khajuria, Gourav Chopra, Purshotam Mehra, Man Mohan Sharma, Bodh Raj Sharma, Ashwani Handa, Gourav Kapoor, Janmeet Singh Bali, Naresh Maini, Syed Abdul Rashid, J.L Koul, Sushil Sharma, S.S Dutt, Tara Chand, Gulshan Kumar, Ganesh, Varinder Singh, Praveen Singh and Puneet Arora.
Meanwhile, JKPCC Chief G.A Mir paid rich tributes to former Chief Ministers G.M Sadiq and Syed Mir Qasim and former Minister G.M Mir Lasjan at a function organized at Srinagar.
Mir recalled the leadership qualities of the departed leaders, who remained committed to the cause of strengthening people from grass roots level especially those living below poverty line. They remained close to people all along their lives, he said. The leaders had done their utmost to bring the State of J&K on the track of development and prosperity and remained committed to their clean and value based politics, Mir said.
Mir said people would continue to remember these leaders for their pro people polices and leadership qualities, they never compromised on equitable development, unity and integrity of the State.
