Congress gears up for Assembly polls

BISHNAH: A sustained political awareness campaign has been launched by the Congress Party in the Bishnah constituency under the leadership of Gulchain Singh Charak.
In this contest, a series of public meetings were organised in different villages of the constituency exploring possibilities of immediate redressal of public grievances with regard to un-employment, providing better medicare and educational facilities, mitigating the problems of farmers regarding irrigation facilities, un-interrupted electric and drinking water, rehabilitation of the border people who have suffered during the recent floods and unprovoked firing by Pakistan.
Charak held a public meeting with youth of the border belt at Arnia. A large number of youth of the border areas participated besides other prominent Congress leaders. In the largely attended meeting it was declared that if Congress Party is voted to power, efforts will be made to arrange special recruitment drive for the youth of Bishnah Constituency in different belt forces. Efforts will also be initiated to establish a separate Degree College and ITI College at Arnia besides better sports facilities for the youth to compete at National level and prove their mettle.
The youth on this occasion, thanked Charak for providing all possible help to enable the youth of this border belt to participate in the Recruitment Rally by Army at Nagrota on 31st October and 1st November, 2014.
Thereafter, meetings of the villagers were organised at villages Changiya, Chak Keshav and Sultanpur which were attended by a large number of Sarpanchs/Panchs of the areas who pledged their vote and support to the Congress Party. During the meeting a number of problems were highlighted for the development of the villages in this part of border belt.
