JAMMU:Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Chief Spokesperson, Sunil Sethi on Tuesday asserted that anti national stand of Congress stood exposed by statement of its leader Digvijay Singh who questioned surgical strike by armed forces.
“It was deliberate attempt by Congress as of policy to make such statement and subsequently as of further deceit to underplay and side track the statement,” he said.
Sethi said the statement was made by Congress leadership in last leg of Yatra in Jammu and Kashmir with intention to win sympathy of separatists and anti-India forces for political gains as Congress wants a message to go in Valley that it stands against armed forces and are taking sides with anti-national and separatist elements. Subsequent efforts of Jairam Ramesh to sidetrack statement is only to give camouflage to nationalistic forces that the statement was made by individual and not by party.
Congress is trying to take benefits both ways but it stands exposed before court of people, Sethi said.
Sunil Sethi challenged to Rahul Gandhi to come clear on the issue by taking firm stand.
The fact that Congress has got statement made by Digvijay Singh deliberately is clear from fact that no action has been taken by Congress against him despite Singh making statement undermining the role and official statement of Armed Forces, Sethi said.
