JAMMU: The victory of the Congress Party in the yesterday’s Rajya Sabha elections was celebrated by the Congressmen throughout the State.
The jubilant party leaders and workers distributed sweets at Party HQs here on Wednesday and celebrated the victory.
In a separate meeting under PCC Chief, G.A Mir, the entire leadership and rank and file of the party extended heartiest congratulations to the Congress High Command over the victory of the party, which is victory of democracy and democratic institutions like Election Commission of India against all pressures and odds, due to the undemocratic methods adopted by the BJP and misuse of power, which has exposed the party, which always talked high of principles and claimed to be party with a difference. The Congress has proved that it believes in the democracy and supremacy of the Constitution and rule of law, he added.
