KATHUA: Castigating State Coalition Government partner BJP responsible of adopting stepmotherly treatment with Jammu province District Congress Committee President Former MLC Subash Gupta said that BJP, which got a massive vote from Jammu in the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in 2014, has once again ignored and discriminated people of Jammu province. He said this while addressing a press conference held at Kathua, on Sunday.
Subash Gupta further said that one could bring here innumerable instances to prove that the BJP has caused more harm to Jammu than the Kashmiri ruling elite adding that the people of Jammu are not only facing the dissimilar problems related to availabilities of basic amenities but also the government is trying to keep away the people of Jammu from the medical facilities. He also said that during UPA government Ghulam Nabi Azad, then Union Health Minister announced five medical colleges for the State and with the announcement of medical colleges, he also released the funds. He added that after two years, the government took initiative regarding this and started the establishment of medical colleges at Baramula, Anantnag and Rajouri neglecting Kathua and Doda.
“It is clear discrimination with the people of Jammu region which showed blind faith towards BJP and cast vote in its favour”, he irked.
Subash Gupta further said that with the establishment of these medical colleges not only the youths would have the future of becoming doctors but also the public of the area would have better medical facilities. Ex-Municipal President Naresh Sharma also spoke on the occasion besides, Rattan Chand Karotra, Nariender Khajuria, Aradhana Andotra and many others were present on the occasion.
