Cong welcomes announcement of poll dates for U’khand

Dehradun:- The ruling Congress in Uttarakhand today welcomed the Election Commission’s announcement of holding elections in the state on February 15 and urged the commission to ensure that there is no violation of the Model Code of Conduct during the polling process.

“We welcome the poll schedule announced for Uttarakhand by the Election Commission of India.

“We also urge the commission to take effective steps to ensure that there is no use of unfair means to influence voters and the Model Code of Conduct is strictly followed,” Pradesh Congress Committee president Kishore Upadhyay said.
